Recent Birding

Little Gull
I Haven't done much blogging recently due to the start of a new Job and not feeling the best but i am back to update you on the last two weeks.

Last week i visited
Glaucous Gull
Brooklands Park twice with Harry Ramm to try and Photograph two very nice Little Gulls that have been showing amazingly well, between me and harry we must have wasted about 8-10 loafs of bread on these bird, but it was so worth it as we had them showing down to about 2ft at times which made it very hard to photograph them at times, but i obtained some good photos for me .

I have also been spending alot of time down the patch (Climping), i haven't really had anything out of the ordinary down there, but there are still some good birds around like the Kumelin's & Glaucous Gull are still showing nicely and some very nice Little Gulls at times, but i have also had some commoner stuff like Firecrest, Sanderling and Med Gulls apart from that its not very exciting down there, im a just waiting for migration to start that's when it gets fun down there lol.

Lesser Spotted Woodpecker
This on Saturday 8th we headed to an undisclosed site for Lesser Spotted woodpecker, when we arrived on site we walked in to a nice little forest and we instantly heard one calling & drumming, we then instantly got on to the nice male as it was sitting in the tree, the bird performed really well and was quite vocal at times, but the main thing is we were able to get cracking views.

Siberian Chiffchaff
We then headed of to Stennying water treatment plant we there was a Siberian Chiffchaff hanging about, when we arrived we were instantly punched in the face by the smell of S**T, we then walked to the big area of bushed and straight away got on to about 5 different Chiffchaff after a couple of minutes searching we got on to the Siberian Chiffchaff, we were all amazed by how different it look, it was a much more darker gray than all the others and had a very obvious supercilium, after watching it for a little while and were happy with our views we then headed home.
