Got to Climping at 8:00am this morning and locked the bike up and straight away spotted a Short eared owl sitting in the hedge by the Horse paddock, we had a great start to the morning.
At Baliffscourt the usual Little owl put in an appearance, also 1 Siskin and 1 Redpoll were noted flying over, we managed to hear 1 Firecrest and saw a few Goldcrest, we left the patch at 10:30 and headed home just to receive a text saying the Hoopoe was on show behind Climping school so we rushed down there, managed to see the bird after putting time in and it was very showy, thanks Garry, Helen, dad and all the local birders as well.
