Ringed billed gull |
Me and Dad got the train down to Portsmouth & Southsea for
Iceland Gull,
Ring Billed Gull,
Purple sandpipers,
Shorelark and
Cattle Egret.
Our first port of call was the
Iceland Gull but there was no luck with that, so we got the boat across to Gosport and walked down the parade to the boat lake and the
Ring billed gull was there so easy to see, we got really close to it, we went to go get some bread not the best idea, whilst i was trying to get shots of the Gull, Dad was being attacked by Mute Swans and Herring gulls after the bread was gone and i finish taking photos of the Ring Billed gull, we headed back to Portsmouth and tried again for the
Iceland Gull again.

Purple sandpiper |
We headed back round to the port and to our surprise the 2nd winter
Iceland gull was there seen flying around, it then settled on the sea and then after watching on the sea for about 5 minutes it then flew back and landed on a post right next to us, giving us some amazing shots, from here we headed to Southsea Castle for
Purple Sandpiper,
When we arrived at Southsea there was one
Purple sandpiper feeding close to the shoreline, round the corner there was one Sandpiper feeding very close to the path more feeding very close to the path, so i snuck down to get some photos and got very close to the bird, it then dropped down i then went to get some more

When we arrived at Hayling island the
Shorelark was showing very well but a bit distance for some really good shots, out last port of call was Warblington for the
Cattle Egret and we got some good views of it aswell, from here we headed home very happy with what we saw today
