Sorry for not posting

Hooded merganser
Over the last month me and Dad have done a bit of birding with Rob connecting with Things such as the Hooded merganser in Kent last month and the long awaited Hume’s yellow browed  warbler and Richards pipit in Dorset.

we got the female hooded merganser at Whelsted gravel pits with Rob got very good views with the scope but a bit distance for the camera let's hope this bird gets accepted, we also had a drake Smew on another gravel pit opposite to the Merganser which was very distance, but we did have a lovely Chiffchaff we also had a nice fly by Kingfisher.

Then on the 16th march we headed down to Dorset with Rob for Warbler and Pipit when we arrived Dad had a Swallow flying over a near field, we then headed to the camp and there was a person standing there and he hadn't seen it the bird, he then played the call of Hume’s yellowed browed warbler, and then the warbler just appeared giving me and Dad time to see it's wing bars giving us time to tell it was the Hume’s before it flew over the path into a bush were it wasn't seen again by us anyway, from here we headed back for the pipit and got told it was in a field when we arrived it was showing really nicely in a field for about 10-15 minutes before it was flushed by something and not seen again we also had 4 Sandwich terns.

We the headed to Radipole lake for Glossy ibis were we had amazing views of two showing really well, i also had a very brief but god view of cettis warbler in a bush from here we headed to Keyhaven marshes for Water pipits we distance views were had of 3 pipits.

The last stop of the day was the new forest for Dartford warbler were had to building a nest, showing well we then headed home happy with what we saw.

Also on Thursday headed down to Climping were I had first Swallow of the year.
