WHITE TAILED LAPWING

WHITE TAILED LAPWING

The news broke out of a White tailed lapwing on the ARC pit dungeness so we decided that we will go see it the next morning if it was still there.

WHITE TAILED LAPWING

We arrived at rye station at round about 10-11 AM and the White tailed lapwing was still on the ARC pit which was good news but the bad news was that we have a 10 mile bike ride ahead of us what joy. When we arrived at the ARC pit there was crowds of people coming to and from the viewing screen when we got there it had just gone out of view but then dad had a bit further down so i headed straight to were he was standing and got a good but quick view of this bird before it flew away.

An hour later the lapwing flew back were it reamiand for the rest of the giving amazing view we then headed of to the reserve we noted
Green sandpiper, Common sandpiper, Hobby and Marsh harrier

so al in all a good days birding.
