LOCAL BIRDING

Spoonbill
We headed over to Farlington to see a Spoonbill that dad saw on Friday we set the equipment up and walked round the sea wall and got to the deeps and instantly got on to the adult Spoonbill which was a year tick for Me , we got good views of the bird sleeping as they do alot it kept Preen the odd time here and there, from here we headed over to Chichester gp for the Little gull.

When we arrived a Chichester GP we walked down to the Chalets and rob picked it out  flying round feeding giving good views this was a year tick for Rob ,we then headed down to East head to see if the Osprey was around that had been put out on the pager  but there was no sign of the bird on the way back to the car dad notice a Swallow flying low over the sand dunes towards Thorney island which was a year tick for us all , from here we headed home happy.

When we were around the corner from our house Rob stopped to get some Rainbow juice for the car  and dad noticed 6 Waxwings which was our second record for Littlehampton they were showing really close and very well.
