The icing on the cake

Cappercallie
Today we started had Tulloch moor and straight away we could instantly hear lecking Black Grouse, we then spotted two Black grouse strutting there stuff out on the moor, this is the best view we've had of Black grouse over the trip, we then headed back to Loch garten for Cappers again.

At Loch garten we were all trying to pick out the two male Cappercallie amongst the fence vegatation we all managed glimpsis of the birds, Rob then picked out another Cappercallie right out in front of us in the tree's it showed really well, there was also nice cracking Brambling on the feeder with the Siskins there was also a couple of Mistle thrushes.

Now for the icing on the cake were told about rouge Cappercallie at a disclosed site, on the way to the Capper we enjoyed some more Crested tits chasing each other round in the tree's, abut further further down the path Rob picked out the Cappercallie just feet way from us, it was standing up proud and starring right into our souls, it was great to hear the noises it made, at times it charged at me, i was that close I could see down it's throat.

Time was running out for are stay in Scotland we started heAding back to Aberdeen for our flight home, but we decided to stop of at Ythan estuary for the King eider, we were there all the eider did was sleep on the sandbake, there was also a couple of Common scoter around also lots of eiders and two Great black backed gulls feeding on a purpose. To summarise the trip it was amazing
