pectoral sandpiper

we decided to go and get the pectoral sandpiper at Arlington reservoir when arriving at Arlington the water levels were very low, there were alot of gulls and great crested grebes about.

We walked halfway along the dam wall and there were two birders standing there and we asked if they had seen the pectoral sandpiper and they had, so they pointed it out and we watched for about an hour and a half, it was just feeding along the mud, we noticed the long primary projection and nice white stripes a good year tick there were also about 10 pied  wagtails running and flying about on the mud
