THE EAGLE HAS LANDED

White tailed eagle
On Saturday the news broke out of a White tailed eagle at Amberly wildbrooks it was a bit too late for us go and twitch the Eagle on Saturday so are only hope was for it to stick around until Sunday.

Very early Sunday morning we got up to Rackham street in Amberly and found about 6 birders watching intently at a very foggy wildbrooks, there had been no sign of anyWhite tailed eaglebut wile waiting i noted 2 Goldcrest playing in the tree and 1 Nuthatch, Dad found a Ring tailed Hen Harrier flying threw the brooks it was seen twice giving amazing views we also so had three ruff and 18 Bewick swan flying toward burpham and two Ravens.

An hour later with still no sign of any Eagle by this time we were thinking it had moved on but about 20 minutes later this Jumbo Jet (White tailed eagle) came flying into view and landed on the large elder tree in the middle of the brooks were it stayed for an hour before it flew and landed on the ground were you could really see the size of this bird.

We then saw it fly back into the elder tree were it kept getting mobbed by corvids before flying of again with 95 corvids mobbing it over the burgh, at Amberley train stathion we saw Long tailed tits and 1 Firecrest
White tailed eagle being mobbed by 95 corvids
