NORFOLK WEEKEND PART 1

We arrived at Thornham point at 8am Saturday morning with rob stokes and straight away we saw two ringtail Hen harriers moving east over the marsh, and then are first target bird of the weekend the Northern harrier came into sight and passing by about hundred yards away. Rob then picked up a Barn owl hunting to our left also two Egyption goose flew into the field were there were curlews feeding over birds noted were
Waxwing
Marsh harriers
Brent goose
buzzard
allot of Pink footed goose

We then moved on to Burnham ovary hoping to find a Rough legged buzzard  Rob spotted a possible one sitting on a gate post a long way of to far to id , 
Grey partridge
Wigeon
Brent goose
6 waxwings



Twite

After that little disappointment we moved on to tichwell  RSPB reserve, on the way down to the visitor center we had one Whooper swan with 8 Mute swans  at the visitor center we had a very confident Robin also over birds noted were Siskins, Chaffinches and greenfinches
on the reserve we got good views of a lone Spotted redshank and 7 Marsh harrier then we moved to the hide were we got good views of
40 Twite,
Skylarks
meadow pipits
shame the hide was so packed with people which made it hard to see much , so we moved on to the over hide opposite were we noted
8 Ruff, Avocet, Teal, Pied wagtail, Dunlin, Pintail duck, Shovler, Gadwall, Linnets, Lapwing
on the way back to the car i hand fed a Robin

Also Velvet scoter on the sea
Pink footed goose

At a windy Cley marshes we got good views of American wigeon with about 200 wigeon
also Marsh harriers
Golden plover
and 5000 Pink footed gooose
